Went to the Ducks game tonight, winners over the Wild 3-2.  Our best start in our history, beat the 2006-07  Stanley Cup team start by 1 point.  Teemu with another goal tonight, moved into 11th place all time.  Go Ducks

I was watching with my son, and as soon as Detroit rec'd the delay of game penalty, we started giggling.  Silly is the right word.

Who cares?

"It's amazing," he said. "In a competitive League, they're not making it competitive. In saying that, they're [12-0-3] in one-goal games. So they find a way to win. That's depth and that's skill." - MIKE BABCOCK DETROIT RED WINGS COACH

No one denies this....fabulous franchise only behind the Canadians.

I was at the LA Sports Awards last night where they had the top 10 sports moments in LA last year.  The Kings winning the cup was #1.  45 years those guys waited, though LA has always been a pretty decent hockey town even if it's 80 degrees outside this past weekend.  As a Ducks fan, we have the same scenario a bit further south.  Some excellent hockey being played not just in Detroit, especially this year and the last few years.  Looking forward to Wings at Ducks in a bit as I've got some ducats for those two games.

so, 4 straight goals for the hawks in the first period. they're good.

I'll agree with what others have said.. the Blackhawks, right now, are the best, most dominant team in any sport. I wonder if, for opponents, it becomes a mental thing having to play the Hawks.

Sportscenter actually gave the Hawks 5 minutes after the lead in from the IU-OSt game.  Unheard of.

Hope Fox Sports can give the NHL a proper home in 2022 and bring back Fox Trax.

Hawks are otherwordly right now. Watching them run Backstrum yesterday was impressive.

That being said, I'm not enjoying the Chicago fanbase gloating about regular season success after hearing the last two years how winning the President's Trophy means nothing. If we're playing by the standard applied to Vancouver, then the Hawks have achieved zilch until they raise the Cup.

You think I'm bitter, about what a half of a seasons success? The record is absolutely incredible and very impressive but I'd rather have 21 straight seasons with a playoff appearance then a consecutive games with a point streak.

Regular season hockey means nothing just look at the Kings last year who were an 8 seed.

Chicos

Congrats on Getzlaff extension.  Big signing.

Have to get Perry signed now.  Does the streak for you guys end tonight?  Down 2 in the 2nd.  You have been on an epic run, that's for sure.  Congratulations, whenever it ends, just crazy what you have done.

5-1... 6 games in 9 nights and playing a mile high will do that to you. unfortunate that it has to end.
