Picking up from Matty V's twitter that the team has not been allowed to wear team gear since the Iowa game. No doubt as punishment. Can't see how this high school style stuff improves things. Maybe the coach should also be punished and not cash any more checks until the team plays better.

Lets see if the play with more heart tonight.

If this is true doesn't Ners gain some credibility?

he gone

he gone
I know, simply saying that this would tend to assist his narrative. I'm not wanting him returned.

Because a coach might be trying to remove a sense of entitlement among his players? Seriously?
This strategy is used all across the country, in all sports, in all levels of play. Personally, I think it's stupid. But this is not news.

When a coach has not prepared his team to even step foot on the court against Iowa I find it to be more of a reflection of coaching. Let's hope the coaching staff held themselves to the same rule during their pick up games. The man is in over his head.

I never-dunked-but played in high school and I never heard of this.
Anyway, I miss Ners. I pour some liquor out for him after every game.

Crean used this technique during the final four year. After the abysmal game in South Bend where ND shot an absurd percentage from 3, Chris Thomas (I believe that was the PG's name on that team) was quoted as saying it was like we were playing horse against ourselves. The next week there was no practice gear allowed and Crean had everybody practicing in t-shirts that said "MU DEFENSE" on the front and that quote on the back.
Elite athletes hate to be embarrassed and using a technique like this often times pushes you a little harder. I like the fact that he did it, now will it work? We will find out, if we have the right kind of leaders on this team we will see improved effort and energy.

I think effort needs to be improved, but so does the rudimentary offense and abysmal defense that they're being coached up on.

This is a great development if MU isn't allowed to wear the yellow life jackets

This is fair. I agree with all except the last sentence, and that's TBD.

Too bad that high school technique did not work...
