Hangin' at the Al / Re: Crean vs Buzz vs Wojo vs Shaka

Agreed, that's a ridiculous take, especially because of the situation around it. After Year 1 (so year two) Crean left three starters in Hayward, Cubillan, and Acker. In addition, Joe Fulce and Chris Otule were already committed to Marquette under Crean. So were Nick Williams and Tyshawn Taylor, both of whom went on to have productive high-major careers.

Yes, Crean was able to bring Williams along with while Buzz couldn't keep Taylor, but there was at least some foundation there, and Buzz offset those losses with Buycks and DJO. Had Crean not left, the cupboard wasn't remotely bare, and Buzz had a solid foundation for year two as indicated by 3 starters leftover from Crean and a 6-seed that year.

Boy. Saying Buzz inherited “starters” David Cubillan and Mo Acker in year 2 from Tom Crean is really a stretch. In their first year with Buzz they averaged 2.8 and 1.6 points per game, 1.4 and .5 rebounds per game and 1.8 and .2 assists per game. Yes, they started for Buzz in his second year, but the guys Buzz got from Crean were end of the bench guys, not starters.

Kinda crazy that the House of Representatives - in a total bipartisan vote - just made it illegal to speak poorly of a foreign government.

I'm sure similar bills will soon be passed, where African American groups can define racism (All lives matter would be illegal), and CAIR will be allowed to define what constitutes discrimination against Arabs/muslims, and each group (i.e. Native Americans) will also be allowed to write their own definitions, which will be enacted into law for the Department of Education to follow.

Would be great if the front page of this thread had an updated list of all known non-con games (And dates)...

I wasn't the thread creator, but I have the second post and updated it with the current schedule and known dates.

We will also be hosting a 3-game home MTE (teams unknown).

Or maybe they wouldn’t have made the Final Four with him around.

Eric Stokes 5th year option year declined. Packers can still sign him to a longer term deal if he maintains his health.

Buzz recruiting John Dawson is worth at least one spot.  Lower

You actually touch on what is going to be an interesting legal and philosophical
argument going forward.   Can felons own guns?  Because a couple thousand gun lovers have felony convictions now.    In the recently mentioned cases,  Charlotte and Elkhorn, felons who had served their sentences returned to society and illegally obtained guns with tragic consequences.
Should the convicted felons of January 6 be allowed to own weapons?   Before you answer, should the recent Israel/Palestine protesters who will be convicted of felonies related to destruction of property and assault be forever banned from firearm ownership?
I am in the camp of a blanket ban.

the Elkhorn dude was freed early by big tony evers.  anyone responsible for freeing anyone from a sentence early or paroling or letting them bail out should be held responsible for that person going out and killing someone.

if a doctor causes harm on a patient, they are held responsible and rightly so.  so should judges and anyone else associated with releasing a felon.
