MM is no longer allowed to play in the NCAA. He may be at some po-dunk schoool somewhere.

Nowhere.  He could have gone to an NAIA school, but didn't.  There were some rumors that he was going to try a JUCO and then try to appeal the NCAA's ruling in a year, but he ended up not enrolling.

Was he the one that had reported drug use?

I don't recall. I know that the news of his release was around the time someone else left.

they never said what happened but it is suspected by most that he either used steroids or placed bets on games.

Out here in SF, Barry Bonds would have hit 800 HRs even without donkey steroids.  I believe they just signed hime to a 10 year contract at 45.

It appears that we'll NEVER know...unless a close friend (or Matt himself) divulges the info.
