What a scene on the court.  I only wish MU was more forceful in telling fans to stay.  It was incredible.

Shaka leading a We Are Marquette chant was amazing.

Fr. Laurence & Barb K on a ladder is so special.

Tyler Kolek with a net draped around his neck was the final F U to coaches & media.

And last but certainly not least was the inspired choice to play John Denver’s Country Roads.  A song baked in #mubb lore.

This team is extraordinary.  So happy.

After that stunning, nearly disastrous ending. It was nice to just sit back and soak in the joy.

They probably didn’t want to encourage too many people to stay because of needing to turn the place around for the Bucks.

After awhile they came with an announcement that was the functional equivalent of “Thank you fans for coming, now GET OUT”.

For your heart health, it's probably lucky you did.

With the very little acknowledgment of the Big East title pre game & mid game, I knew leaving would be extremely foolishness.

One of those game days you’d wish would never end.

I thought I heard them say something about something going on afterwards, but my friends weren’t listening, and a couple are just intently focused on getting to their cars, so they were racing  out while I was going, wait did they say they are doing something, and the people around us all thought it had to do with the Bucks game. So I got a little glimpse but missed some of the stuff you guys are writing about, so bummed.
I agree that the announcement was very hard to hear after the game.

It didn't help that ushers were shooing people out of seats (upstairs at least).

Agreed Lens.  Glad my family stuck around.  It’s was nice to soak in.  I think more people would have stayed had they made a couple announcements during the game.
