I’m not one to make rash decisions, but if the powers within MU don’t see what’s going on, something is very, very wrong.

The evidence is beyond damning.

Fire Bill Scholl?
« Reply #152 on: March 07, 2020, 12:04:48 PM »
Barring some miracle comeback or divinely-inspired turnaround in the BET or NCAA, this team is headed for two consecutive massive end of seasons collapses. We could go back through all the posts about patience and progress and etc etc. but I can't think anyone would honestly claim they would be content with this in years 5 and 6 of the Wojo era.

There's a lot at play, and we're not privy to the financials, but if they're so bad that we CAN'T fire Wojo then Bill Scholl needs to lose his job for agreeing to that contract.

If we CAN fire Wojo and don't, he also needs to go.

Our only response  to the press is have Markus bring the ball up alone. Our only answer on offense is to give the ball to Markus and let him shoot -- not a sign of perparedness.

You know how you beat the press?? DON'T LET THEM SCORE. Easy.

Frankly, this thread is disheartening and demoralizing. Such pettiness only cuts like a knife. It is...hateful.

We are Marquette, dammit!

Is there a trophy ceremony at the end of the game?

You are correct. All on the head coach.

Maybe at Duke the world class players do not need to be inspired to believe in themself. But for the rest of us we need some one to truly believe in us so we believe in ourselves.

Mike Anderson is well known for his “40 Minutes of Hell Full Court Press”. When he was coaching at Missouri that “40 Minutes of Hell” was truly HELL! Anderson was taught the “40 Minutes of Hell” when he was  an assistant coach for Nolan Richardson at Arkansas.

I'll run the cleanest program you've ever seen. Eagle scouts. And because I love my alma matter I'll do it for 25% of what they're paying Wojo so they can go hire 10 new TT faculty lines.

And I'll get them just as many BE championships and NCAA wins as Wojo has.

Unfortunately, Wojo is too stubborn to adapt and make changes. You aren't going to be able to produce above average results in any profession without adjustments and openness to feedback, especially a coach/leader of a program.

I don't know how anyone could be satisfied with how this season has ended.

This is what Wojo has built.

What has he done over years to merit a response of this is just a one time event and things will get better.

I do not believe our head coach is a Catholic. But that's ok because he runs a nice, clean cut program.

Let's not religion be a source of divisiveness. Can't we just be friends?
