What's your point? Does this in any way make up for how horrible we continually play on the road? Why should I care if ND is losing a rare home game. Its how we continually play on the road that I care about.

Try and defend this poor effort all you want. YOu will lose.

Breathe.

I want to see the Gardner-Otule combination in the 2nd half

Yeah, on the bench.  Rutgers isn't a big team, they're just faster than us down low getting to rebounds and whatnot.

I expect to be seeing a steady stream of Stevie Taylor/Jamil/Lockett/13lue/Junior (or DWilson if Junior continues to make obnoxious bad decisions) going forward.
Relax. Respect the Process.

We're not a bad team.  We're playing like absolute chit, and save for a couple deep bombs we'd be down 4.

Fwiw, this homer thinks we still win.  Rutgers' MO this year has been to hang tough (sometimes leading) until about 5 minutes into the second half.  I hope this follows suit.

We're a bad team away from home. Shouldn't have gotten carried away completely. But I dont even know if we are playing like absolute chit. This seems to be the road norm aside from USF which doesnt count.

As long as we can offense/defense sub.  4 on 5 since one doesn't hustle back one of the four is out of position and fumbling loose balls isn't a good defensive strategy.

This.

Blind pigs can snark all they want but our pattern of awful first halves away from home is no laughing matter, as the record indicates

Actual results seem to indicate that MU is not appreciably worse than any other team on the road. This idea that they are somehow this Jekyll and Hyde team reLtive to the rest of college basketball is pretty much a myth.

I'm starting to feel the same way. Crowd pulled them through at least 10 games this year. They even struggled against teams like nc central and se Louisiana. Those would have been losses on the road. MU would struggle to make the nit if they didn't have such a home court advantage. Not saying other teams wouldn't be the same way though.

Ya. I mean, we lose to Rutgers: whatever. Trap game, I can fux with that. We lose to Seton Hall, its not speculation anymore, its fact. Rutgers is playing some pretty tenacious defense, but the turnovers are killer. I just can't decide is Blue is in a jump-shot funk, or if his lucky streak of hitting jump shots with his terrible form has finally come to an end.  I smell the latter.

We discussed this on another thread, but do you even know what the definition of a trap game is?  This certainty isn't one.

This team is gutless. Anytime we even have a chance to cut into the lead we just turn it over and let them get easy hoops.

Another lousy East Coast first half - let's hope they have a SHU second half and not a Nova second half.
