Relax. Losing Shumpert to GT was big. This, not so much. Good luck to Mr Lammers.

Big in that it got rid of Crean and brought us the savior that is Buzz.

Yep, and that's good for him.  Was not a fit for Buzz's system.  Guess he'll stick it out for GTs 6 year engineering program, which obviously does not leave a lot of time for serious Div I BB.  But, his decision is hard to argue with.  Best to Ben.

Yup. He did not fit the system. Translation: We did not want him because he was not a switchable and only a two start.

Staff seemed to be very high on him until the visit. Not sure what went wrong, but that Marquette never scheduled an in-house visit the week after Lammers visited here is pretty telling.

When he put on the Georgia Tech hat it turned out to be a banner day for MU.

Too bad, we've got a good track record with big men who have stayed for 6 years. I'll be happy with Miller or Craig though.

I hate to put too many eggs in one basket, but we could really use Stone to break the perception of MU as a guards-only school. A lot easier to convince top-line bigs to come if we had Gardner and Stone to point to.

This is no surprise as Buzz is no longer bound by the demand of Pilarz to bring in a traditional center

Good luck to Lammers. Don't know much about him.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

No, no--MU is a switchables school. Listen to the Gurus on this board. We do not need Bigs. They all go to Kansas or Ky. or Duke or NC or Georgetown or Louisville or Syracuse or the OSU or Wisconsin or etc. We want switchables.

Willie....do you want to know the truth?

Brew mentioned it above.  After Lammers visited, Buzz did not go visit him in-home the next week.  But he visited, or will visit, with everyone else who is either committed or who we are zeroing in on.  Why do you think that is?
