Beasley may be the best player in college this year...
« on: November 11, 2007, 09:33:52 PM »
He went for 30 and 14 tonight in just 29 minutes... even against sub-standard teams his number are assanine

62 points and 38 rebounds (18 of which were offensive) not to mention 4 blocks, 3 steals and 7 assits.

He's shooting 61.5% from the field (24/39) and 67% from the line. Oh and he's hit 2/5 from behind the arc. Yikes no wonder he tore us apart

Agreed.   I watched highlights of both of his games on Sportscenter and was laughing to myself.   What a beast.

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I saw him compete at the World U19 championships in Serbia this summer.  I thought Beasley looked good but did not live up to the hype.  There were a couple of other team USA players who looked better in my opinion, including a PF who plays for UNC.  I think it was Deon Thompson.  Anyway, Beasley's stats speak for themselves so far.

To his credit, at least Beasley played for his country, others like Love (UCLA) and Rose (Memphis) elected not to go. (presumably because they feared injury).
