And the winner of the Maui Invitational will be...

the Duke Blue Devils.

At least that's according to EA Sports, the event's sponsor, which played out the championship game of the upcoming tournament in NCAA March Madness 08 on Xbox 360.

The final was 91-81.

Also according to the game, MU will knock off host Chaminade, 71-60, and LSU in the second round, 83-65. Duke will beat Princeton, 81-69, and Arizona State, 79-77.

Players from all eight teams will play out the tournament themselves on Xbox Saturday night.

If I were Crean, I think I'd tell MU's players to lose the video game as fast as possible so that they could get back to game-planning.

Of course, with the competitive nature of our guys, I'm sure they'd be disappointed with anything less than a victory - even if it is a video game.

I don't think stopping to play a harmless video game and maybe relax for 30 minutes is gonna hurt anyone

hey, with all of crean's alternative coaching strategies (taekwondo, hyperberic chaimber) maybe he might implement this as a weekly routine. ::)

I hope DJ represents MU and plays against Duke's Nelson...and wins - scoring 89 points out of MU's 89 total points.
