Lock in boys
« on: March 21, 2024, 08:30:04 PM »
Wide open for us.

Have to beat Western Kentucky, Florida or Colorado, and Oakland, NC State, or Texas Tech to get to the Elite 8. But as we’ve seen year after year and yet again today, nobody is above an upset.

Man, this is there for the taking.

It is. It was last year though and we failed. Time to lock in and take care of business.

Is Western Kentucky the best college basketball team from Kentucky this year?

Hope not.

Yes. Root for NCST and Florida, then hope MU doesn’t look ahead.  Then hope Shaka’s stay home on the weekend streak ends.

That was a fun game to watch, especially last two minutes with Kentucky draining threes and Oakland just surviving with toughness, even missing free throws to heighten the drama.

Wadesworld: Thank you very much for focusing on what will face and require the Golden Eagles in the next three games to get to the 4th.

One at time. This run has been three years in the making and cannot lose focus. If I can stay dialed in, I’m counting on the Warriors to do the same

If my emotional wellbeing and mental state around Marquette basketball games had any impact on our team, we’d have been in a dogfight with DePaul all year.

That said, I believe in these guys. We’re a senior team with NBA talent that loves each other and has beaten the best over their tenure. If we play with that edge they talked about in the press conference today we’re going to be a very tough out

I don't have time to study Florida. All I know is if the Warriors get healthier it's going to win that game. I'm thinking about Stevie and hoping his shoulder is good shape.  We need him to press a guard and defend close to the basket. Of course, we need Tyler back to normal.  I expect Oso to hit more push shots than he did last week. And he'll get pick and roll dunks.  If Tyler can play like he normally does Kam will hit it from everywhere. And what else do we have? Joplin, Ross and Gold. That's all good.  I see good things coming.

Man, this is there for the taking.

Even more so than last year.

Kentucky knocked out. Texas Tech losing...

Hopefully the team doesn't feel the pressure of March and is able to play free and easy. The whole arena (aside from our fans) will be against them all weekend.

This team at its peak can punish every team left in this region of the bracket. I hope they put on a show for the World.

I just cracked a beer at almost 11 PM in my living room and turned on Marquette highlights to avoid thinking too much in depth of what the path could be. One game at a time. I'm ready for 1 PM!

Yup, people keep talking about the crowd being against MU. It’ll be 65% MU fans for tomorrow’s session. Colorado or Florida aren’t some low level mid major teams that Purdue fans will care to root for on Sunday.
