And appears to be a fan of Markus’s.

Nobody is taking him for granted.

Discussion boards are for discussion.....he had a bad game last night......you dont think he knows that?

Everybody loves Markus.....that doesn't mean he can't improve or can't be critiqued.

Nobody feels worse about the way he played last night then Markus.......I have no doubt that he will bounce back.

My guess is Blount was cheering for the upset.

Agreed. Markus is really smart. He's bounced back from poor performances in the past. My guess is he'll have a ~125 ORtg vs. GTown on Saturday with a ~25 usage rate (vs. 37 last night) while looking to get Sam, Froling, and Cain more involved when the defense keys on him.

I think he’s got a relationship with Markus. I don’t think this is his first MU related tweet.

I'm pretty sure the "best player since Tony Smith" label isn't in jeopardy.

Wade was the best college player since Smith.  By a lot.  I would say that Travis Diener had a better career.  Jae Crowder and Jimmy Butler had better "peaks."

Yeah you can't over look what Jimmy and Jae brought on the defensive side of the ball.

Markus  is still learning.......decision making is a work in progress......sometimes it's very good.......sometimes it's like last night. He  Is such a good scorer that he sometimes doesn't look for teammates when they have a better shot. That's where the great ones really shine.

He will never be a great defender but he should be able to improve as he gets older.

Very mature kid but still only 18......those guys were all much older at their peaks.

Honestly I've only seen one person criticize Markus' entire career. Everything else I've seen was criticizing his performance last night.

No disrespect to Markus, but I don't think he's even the best player on this team. Thai title goes to Sammy IMHO.  Best offensive player? That you could have an argument for. But he's young,  I think he has the ability to improve his defense the next two years

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I agree with this .... always thought D James was treated poorly by the fan base because he tried to leave early.  They acted like he committed a treasonous act.

He deserved better, much better.
