I really don't get how you can get paid millions of dollars a year and not have any conception of how to defeat a zone defense. My high school coach taught me for about 15k...

Won't feel bad about not facing Crean if he can't get there

i don't believe he'll ever have a talent advantage to the same degree that he does this year.  you have to give him credit for getting the talent, but i think you're right about the rest.  he's not close to being an izzo, williams, coach k, etc. type coach, and ultimately indiana will require that.  i don't see him getting kentucky type talent on a yearly basis either.  he better do something this year.

RIGHT ON.....     Crean NEEDS this game BAD.  If IU loses go the IU boards...   and you will see an EPIC meltdown.   THIS team is loaded.    and Crean can't get it out of them.

Vic is gone.   If Zeller leaves?.....     IU will be a sub .500 team next season.  and then the heat will really be on.

And I can't wait...   I want him gone.      Sick of his tanned, shaved eyebrow, Tom Arnold looking, goofy part in the middle hair doo arse........

heheh..

I believe Cuse wins.

That said, Orangemen had a 13 point lead in the Garden two weeks ago against Ville looking as comfortable as a cat sleeping on a human's face in bed. And blew it. The difference? One has Pitino. One has Crean.

To quote my 15 year old son (his age when TC left) seeing how upset I was, "...he is not a great coach Marquette will be alright they'll get a better coach..." Little did I know my son would be totally correct!

LaSalle/Wichita St has been a brutal game to watch, terrible basketball being played.

I go back to NCAA Tournament loss to Stanford.  Crean was coaching against their assistant coach and lost.  After that, I was happy he left.  He is a good coach and a decent recruiter, but not a great coach.  When I tell this to an IU or other B1G fans, they give me a blank look, and then say, "but you're upset he left."  ::)

Marquette looks like far and away the best team to be playing in DC tonight. Hopefully that's the case on Saturday too.

Could your high school coach recruit top tier talent and manage a basketball program that is essentially a multi-million dollar corporation? There's a lot more to college coaching than being a good x's and o's guy.

Zeller's absolutely killing them. Any other coach would have put Whatford in the middle on offense right now. Crean's been badly outcoached tonight. In other news, the sun rose again this morning...

I recently interviewed a graduate of IU, he was convinced Tom Crean was an awesome in-game coach.  I tried to reason with him.  Ah, youth.

I trust he was thanked politely for having come in then you sh1t canned his cv.

If they lose, I'd like to see him have his players cut down the nets to go in the Sweet 16 trophy case, which sits next to the five cases holding national championship trophies.
