ND v. G'Town

Any compelling reason to root for one over the other?  I understand we are tied with GTown, but if ND keeps winning they will join the bubble conversation.

I know they probably won't win, but SJU-Pitt is also an interesting game.

If SJU and ND win out, it should help MU's cause showing that the Big East is THE toughest conference top to bottom.

Gtown is #11 because when their starting 5 is rolling they are pretty damn near impossible to beat.

thats great and all, but they have losses to Old Dominion, Rutgers and South Florida.

Are these the GTown Jordan Brand silver jerseys that someone was talking about in a uniforms thread the other day?

You could look at Gtown this way:

- MU beat the team that beat those teams...
- Gtown lost to the team that lost to DePaul and NC State (though NCSU recently beat a top 25 team)

Props to ND.   They got it done without Gody.

ND is back in the hunt. They still play UCONN and us. The Big East bubble just keeps heating up.

And on the road too.  Makes the Senior Night game a little scarier.

Puts us in sole possession of 5th place in conference. That's virtually where we'll stay, though, unless we win out and WVU drops two of three to Cincy, GT or @Nova. Not undoable for the double-buy, though. But this ND team has found an identity without Harangody, which makes it dangerous.

ND is playing really good ball right now.  Is the ND/UConn game this week an entry/elimination game?

ND is scary w/out Gody, IMHO. They move the ball better, are better defensively, and are shooting great from 3. With or w/out him, it's going to be a tough game, as ND just proved they can win on the road, and it will be a crucial game for them (and us perhaps) to getting in the Dance, especially if they are able to win at UConn this week.

It's also interesting how our last two opponents both play UConn in their last 3 games, both the game before us for each team.

UCONN has to play Wed @ ND... loser can only finish at best with a 500 record in the BE...IMO the loser of that game is out.

GT strapped with a Really, Really weak bench. Just  five that can play and that's it.

Gtown is just simply a little overrated. They have no business being ranked in the Top 15 and are a middle of the pack BE team. I think they're a Top 25 team, but not a 11/13 type team like they're rated now.
