So what is the Naismith? Who votes on that?
It would be nice for him to go 4 for 4.

I believe it will be announced this weekend. Looks like last year Cooley was announced on Sunday, April 3rd last year. So probably still a couple days away.

From their website: The four finalists for each category were chosen by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s national voting academy, comprised of leading journalists from around the country, current and former head coaches, former award winners and conference commissioners, all of whom base their selections on outstanding coaching performances during the 2022-23 college basketball season. The vote was tabulated and verified by the Atlanta team of J.S. Held, a global consulting firm.

No sweep. Tang got it.
-
Jerome Tang won the Naismith Coach of the Year.
-
Well earned. Tang had an awesome year and I was surprised he hadn’t won any of the other hardware yet.
Shaka will have his day with the Naismith Award
-
Tang and Smart both had great years. Personally, if it’s pre NCAA only, I don’t see how Tang would be ahead of Shaka. Though if you include in the NCAA, then maybe Tang edges Shaka slightly. It’s very close though and they both deserved to be recognized.
-
Awesome! Well-deserved.
I agree with this analysis.

No sweep. Tang got it.
Naismith hates us!
And since fan votes are a part of this, Scoop's letter writing campaign is to blame. #fail
