Gonna be uncomfortable for some here when they happily embrace and joke with each other cause they are friends and have gotten over it where a bunch of grown adults here haven't and/or can't.

That would involve Wojo bringing back his Twitter that he deleted.

Wade was the best player on the planet at that point. When he got the look in his eye there was absolutely no stopping him

Two things about this that are absolutely fantastic.  First, Jermain O'Neal's block of James is basically ignored because of what happened after.

Second, the reaction of the crowd when they saw the replay.

Heard Kupchak was the one scouting at Wade’s Marquette at Tulane game where Wade had like 35 points. Kupchak reported back to the Miami Heat and I think Pat Riley.

DJ Carton with an efficient 8 points on 3-5 shooting in his summer league debut for the Hornets. 16 minutes, 2 rebounds 2 assists

Just saw some highlights. DJ played very well. On one play, he moved his feet to get in great defensive position, had a strip steal, and then made a perfect 60-foot pass to set up a wide-open 3 that his teammate made.

He'd have contended for BE POY had he stayed, so as an MU fan that's a bummer, but I understand why he left. He's pursuing his dream.

I believe Kupchak was still Lakers GM during Wade's collegiate career.

As Riley tells it, he first moved Wade up his draft board while watching Marquette vs. his beloved UK Wildcats in the tourney.
He was riding an exercise bike in an attempt to ease the stress of an ardent Kentucky fan during that game.  Must have logged a lot of miles that day.

In a weird way , playing less minutes creates an environment where DJ has to  focuses on every play, which allows his athleticism to shine . The lapses he had at MU are not going to be tolerated at this high level and DJ probably recognizes that.

DJ was also one of the few guys who , when measured at the combine, was taller than his listed height in college.

I actually think he will see some playing time in The Association this year. Which I always say helps MU even if he was only here a year.

Mixed bag from DJ tonight. Scored in double figures and had some nice steals and assists, but he had at least a half-dozen turnovers. Bouknight had a boatload of TOs for Charlotte too. Davion Mitchell had a good game for Sacraments.

Carton tied for the lead in scoring for Hornets with 13 going 3-5. Giannis’s youngest brother Alex didn’t play for the Kings but played last game and went 1-2 off the bench.

What combine was DJ at? Not the NBA combine.
