Any whispers coming out of Hinkle about McDermott? Is the cold helping or hurting his recovery? Would be nice to face them without their top sniper.

This was two hours ago from a Butler reporter:

Quote from: Lukas Harkins
#Butler’s Sean McDermott has practiced, although lightly, with a precautionary brace on for the past two days (per LaVall Jordan). Will be a gameday decision regarding if he plays versus Marquette on Wednesday. #GoDawgs

Need to win.  We need to get through the BEAST regular season with only 2 more losses, and @Nova is likely one of the two.  losing to a "bottom half" team like Butler - even away - is not good.

Finish the BEAST regular season in first place, who cares what happens in the conference tournament, and we're still at least a 3 seed in the big dance, maybe the bottom 2 seed because that will be the excuse to send us west (like they always do).

This is where I am.  Who gives a crap about rankings or NCAA tournament seed?  That stuff is in some ways out of our control as a committee is going to decide it.  There's something in front of us that we can win.  The Big regular season championship.  I want that.  To get that, we can't afford to lose Wednesday.

Thanks. In what is close to a must win game for Butler (they only have 1 Q1 win with only a few attempts left on the schedule), this sounds like he is going to play IMHO.

Vegas will disagree. Analytics will disagree. Kenpom disagrees.

What did they all say our record would be after 21 games?

Is this the most important game of the season?

Good question. I know we were dogs in our 3 losses. I think we were dogs at Creighton. I think we were favorites in every other game, though slight favorites in a lot of them. So I guess Vegas predicted 17-4 and without a miracle in Omaha they would be right.

All good for us.

Classes are canceled tomorrow for Butler. Kids will be too hammered from day drinking to make it into Hinkle.

Hmm...I think they'd be better off losing to us. If we win, we could become a Q1A game, but if we lose that and a few more we could fall out of Q1 altogether. Better to just roll over, for SOS sake 😄

Truth be told, Butler "needs" this game more that we do.

Having said that, I expect that we will be ready, and that we will win.

Wojo's Warriors already have accomplished all kinds of stuff this season that many here said they couldn't.

I tinkle on Hinkle. Marquette wins.

We'll be supporting the boys 8 rows behind the MU bench. Not going to miss this due to a little "polar vortex". Hoping for smooth travels from Milwaukee.

Ehh, that one was in Maui, plus we beat them in March when it mattered much more.  The one that will always drive me crazy is at Hinkle in 16-17.  Give up 63 second half points, and blow an 18 point lead.

Was there, it was horrible

I am going, its not nearly as cold down here as it is North of here...but I am quickly learning Indianapolis freaks out when it is cold.

Really hoping my $18 ticket will turn out to be a value play with many no shows.
