If using Spothero be conscious of the location. They have spaces under the el tracks which can be a little eerie by the time the game ends.

Wintrust is significantly farther from campus than Rosemont, plus the buses have to negotiate downtown Chicago traffic.  Per Google Maps, that increases the round trip by close to two hours.

One arena is 15 miles away, the other is 7. Google maps says to arrive at Wintrust by 7:30pm tonight you should allow 35 minutes travel time.  For the Allstate they recommend 45 minutes travel time from campus for 7:30pm.

I think she was referring to MU's campus. 21mi difference, issue with student busses sitting on the Kennedy for an extra while they linger in traffic.

I think chick was talking about bussing down from Marquette to the game, not going from Depaul campus to the game.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

my bad, but Wintrust would still be the better option bc it means you get two more hours on the bus pre-gaming.  I think it was Mike Deane who once said: "The journey is the reward"

I agree, plus you could sneak away to Fatpour or Reggie's or the handful of breweries right there. All and all I'd rather take the bus to Wintrust than Allstate.

We were looking at booking a spot under the tracks. I don't mind eerie. The area looks to be safe?

DePaul students all have CTA train passes, the Wintrust is right off the El. Much easier logistics than Rosemont.

Is Reggie's a big spot? If we showed up at 6:30 is it going to be packed?

Reggies has a rooftop deck upstairs...

Main bar on 1st floor

2nd floor is a comedy lounge that they opened for as a bar for Superbowl

It will be crowded but its a big place

The roof deck will be enclosed, to be clear. But that's usually a good spot

Sometimes weird goop drops from the tracks onto your car and it's impossible to clean off. Train lube.

This is the time of year for train lube. If you have a white car, it's hell to get out of clear coat.

As one can tell by the massive increase in student attendance since they moved to Wintrust.
Have some patience, FFS.

Apathy can't be cured by an on campus arena. But there's seriously no argument that someone can make that the Allstate would be more attractive for students unless they are specifically talking about student who commute from Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Arlington Heights etc.

Feelin' good about tonight.

Last few weeks have been a bit of a lull.  I expect a large road crowd to give the fellas some extra energy tonight and get a solid Q2 road W.

Reggie’s sounds like an awesome option. Also Marquette Event at Marriot Marquis before the game is a great option too with their skywalk into Wintrust Arena. Parking Structure across the street from Wintrust is great too but can take awhile to get out of.

All 7 fans that attended the game leaving at once really jams things up!
