and look who I found.

Monterale Clark is held by a Kankakee opponent as he goes in for a shot during the Region IV championships at Sauk Valley on Saturday.

Played for Highland Community College this year. Season over.

No, that photo was taken from the front page of the on-line edition of my hometown paper and I usually don't even look at it, I just scan the obits every week to see if any of my childhood friends' grandparents or other people from my hometown passed away.

I saw the name Monterale Clark playing for the local community college in Freeport, IL and was stunned. For some reason I thought he was still in jail in TX? The last I heard he was in serious trouble and in there for a while. It was just bizarre to see my two worlds collide like that. Sorry for the confusion.

They lost. He missed a bunch of free throws at the end. Season over.

No he is still listed as a top prospect on some JUCO lists. I have no idea what his legal standing but I hope we stay far away.

I was kidding.  But.. as for the jail stuff.  I thought he was released in fairly short order... but don't know where those charges currently stand in the legal process, if they still exist.
