But because the Golden Eagles aren't an especially good three-point-shooting team (35.3 percent), the guards all love driving to the basket. Fine. Let them. The Lopez twins will be there to block and gobble up the ball.
7. Time to Harbaugh up. If all of the above goes well, Stanford probably would face No. 2 seed Texas in Houston a week from Friday. That would be a perfect time to summon Stanford football coach Jim Harbaugh for a little pep talk.
This week, Harbaugh has a conflict of interest - his brother-in-law is Marquette Coach Tom Crean. But after Marquette is gone, with the tough Longhorns up next, Coach Jimmy could reprise his "At Stanford, we bow to no program" defiance. My suggested update: "At Stanford, we hook to no horns."
