Hayward all-Big East; MU picked 12th

If we can break away from the Vander Blue talk for a minute, it's Big East media day at Madison Square Garden in New York, which means the coaches' picks for all-league and team projections are out.

Senior forward Lazar Hayward is one of six players named to the first team, joining Notre Dame's Luke Harangody, Cincinnati's Deonta Vaughn, Georgetown's Greg Monroe, Villanova's Scottie Reynolds and West Virginia's Da'Sean Butler.

The second team consists of Connecticut's Jerome Dyson and Kemba Walker, Louisville's Samardo Samuels, Seton Hall's Jeremy Hazell, South Florida's Dominique Jones and West Virginia's Devin Ebanks.
