Okay guys, don't forget that you will be getting a 1099 for that money next January.  Save some of that money for taxes!
Have some patience, FFS.

Stud of the Game, no question, goes to Derrick Wilson. Didn't score a point, but held Marcus Keene to 3 (Jamil gave up the second three). Awesome game for D-Will.

Got a huge rebound late too.

Great win in a classic way with Diener making the corner 3!

Great win.  Great tournament.  It's hard to win a championship in anything.  High school, college, pros, TBT - doesn't matter.  It takes everyone moving forward all season (or tournament) long.

On another note - anyone else notice that Wojo's guys don't play?  Oh well - good for MU.

I'm sure they will in future years. These guys are better right now. Also, Rowsey.

D Wilson and big Fischy played for Wojo, too.

This is about as silly as BLM/Wades suggesting DJO shouldn't get a cut of the prize since he didn't play for MU last year.

Derrick played his role well in his 15-20 minutes on the floor.  Credit due to Joe Chapman for devising the game plan to take the ball out of Keene's hands through the doubles/switches.

but held Marcus Keene to 3 (Jamil gave up the second three).
In fairness to Jamil, that second shot was from approximately 112 feet away.

Who was the one that said Marquette fans would still bitch about something even if they won a title?

Bitching?  More of an observation.  Also let's not conflate the TBT team with the actual team.  That's kinda the point.

Your observation was correct.  The core guys that carried us to this championship were Buzz/Crean guys.

Buzz's track record at MU with JUCO's - Buycks, DJO, Jimmy, Jae.  Incredible.  And the Duke-lite program of the last 4 years stands in stark contrast, as do the results.

I'll take this one.

Some people exaggerate when they say that your team could be playing for the title and fans would still find something to complain about.  Us Scoopers have the actual evidence.  Back to back Championship game appearances and the thread is still half bickering.

Also predicted a bit of character revealing that has happened the last couple of posts.

Take note of the posters that use anything (such as TBT success) to take a shot at Wojo and the program.  These are the posters that will never be happy, and will always find something to complain about.

Such defensiveness.  It was a mere observation.  Buzz/Crean guys played, Wojo guys didn't.  Read into that whatever you like.

Nothing defensive about it, just my own observation. Read into that whatever you like.

No surprise.  There are more Buzz/Crean guys to choose from, and they are older and have had more time to develop their games.  Rowsey could well develop into a great TBT player, and so could fisher.  The team would have benefited from Juan Anderson.  In a few years, players like Markus and Sacar might well be interested.
