Odd. Not entirely surprised though. Saw him on campus a total of 1 time and he looked miserable.

That seems like a reasonable sample size.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

My point was more of I never saw him on campus in comparison to the rest of the team. Heck, ive seen Diener around more.

No Gabe Levin on the poster. This must have been in process for quite some time.

I was fine with booting Mayo, even happy as it showed Wojo will only give so much before you're gone. With Levin, this doesn't smell right. Mistake was made, now we build the narrative of whose mistake it was.

Lets wait till you here a comment from the coach.  Of course, the real answer will not come out, but no reason to hide what happened.  Watching him last year a few times on TV, not sure
how much he was going to play with Burton at the small forward and others.  Maybe he realized PT time was going to be limited, he was never going to be 2 guard, did not show any outside
shot period, this opens up another scholarship for 2016, if they get Ellenson, I would hold open the one for spring (transfer) or 2 the following year.   I really have never heard of a kid transfer
as much as that kid, he must be a flake.

Did JaJuan Johnson change numbers?

It's odd because Levin wasn't some recruit from a small-time high school who was instantly overmatched. Levin was a productive player at a D1 school.

And who better to build that narrative than an internet fan board?

I'll kick it off:
I believe he left because he was late to picture day and they wouldn't do any retakes.

In the words of Kris Kross: he missed the bus.

Hope this signals Taylor looking great.  With Heldt and Fischer no need for Taylor to play the 5.  If he saw Taylor looking like a bonafide starter someone at the 4 was going to be unhappy...

Eh...he would have sat behind him for one year with two additional remaining.

When they called his name for photo's, he thought they said Gabe Peters so he didn't get up.

Look at these asshats already taking this and running:

“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Theyre all such jag offs. We have our problems over on this board but we have never started up our own thread regarding one of their players transferring. So happy Northwestern beat them in football this weekend.

Over two years ago. Not for every transfer, or any event where Marquette is in the headline. Im not obsessed with their recruits after they drop them from the list like they are for Henry.

Taylor is looking great...

Gabe was not going to play 3-guard or small fwd so it was 4/5 only for him.
Hard to ask a player to sit out a full year and then not look to play much in next couple of years. Better for player to transfer now and get into a new program asap where playing time will be available.  That was the situation Gabe thought he was coming to here.

WOJO did not tell him to go. It was Gabe's choice and he feels it is the right choice for him, so best of luck to Gabe. Things can change in a few months and they have for MU basketball.

Next year we have at 4/5
STJ - JR PF
Luke F-JR C
4 star Freshman Center
5 star Freshman PF

Gabe would have been 5th man, in a rotation that will more than likely have >95% of the minutes taken by the four above for 1 year for sure and who knows after that.

PS Are recruiting for 2015 with additional schollie available.  Charging hard now on a top 100 that has been associated with MU and STJ connection.

Thanks for the info as always. That last line made me pretty excited. If I've learned anything during Wojo's short tenure here so far it is  to not count him out of anything.

The two Simeon kids are taken so I'm guessing it's a different connection?

Next year we have?  4 star center is Matt Heldt.  5 star PF?  I see what you did there.  Thanks Big Daddy.
