Nice win for them.  They finish 3rd in the Maui after beating Maryland.  They also played 3 teams with some talent, though some are young.  This will help them as they go to the Big Ten.  I don't know how good Maryland truly is....Cincinnati pounded them pretty good and Wisconsin controlled them for most of the game as well.

Likewise, the Bearcats look better than anticipated.

Yeah, but Yancy Gates is soft.

I guess that's what I'm asking, is UW-Madison legit?  Hard to say, Maryland is not a top 25 team.  Arizona has the name, but not the experience.

Yeah, sorry Chicos, and particularly ecompt, Bucky's legit. Very typical Ryan team. Lots of beef, little sizzle, usually gets the job done. System players that buy in.
They should have be peeing in a cup, however, following all games. Man, are they ripped.

Cincinnati lost tonight to Gonzaga in OT.  Shame, Cincy led almost the entire game but at the end couldn't hold on to go into OT.

For Wisky, I need to see more of them.  The Big Ten is loaded this year, can't see them being better than 7th, but that will probably get them into the NCAAs as a 10 or 11 seed again.

Cincy got fouled on the oop at the end of regulation - no call.

Seems like those preseason rankings by the 'experts' are going to be taking some hits early. Maryland has not looked impressive at all (nothing against Bucky, but when you are that highly ranked you can't let two  lower-ranked teams just completely control the game against you) .....and #12 Pac-10 preseason favorite Cal has gotten shown up in its two big non-con games so far.  And may I throw out that fact that Kentucky and their god-sent recruiting class has barely won two of its games against much lower competition-albeit their young and ill be surprised if they aren't scary by March.

Unfortunately, it has only looked like the Big East is not going to have a down year and instead continue to be as strong as it has been for the past 4 years.

Yup. Should've been game over. Cronin and Gates had legitimate bones to pick.
But Sacre was wonderful. He was what I thought Liam would/could have been.
We could use a guy like him.

@KC...the Big East is definitely holding their own. In February, people may look back at this game and realize that the Zags almost lost the the 4th or 5th best team in the BE.

The ACC is "hurting" early: half the league already has at least one loss, of which two have 2 losses.

The Big 10 has 6 of their 11 teams already with at least one loss, of which one has 2 losses, one has 3 losses, and another has 4 losses.

The Pac-10 has 7 of their 10 teams already with at least one loss, of which three have 2 losses and one has 3 losses.

The SECC has 9 of their 12 teams with at least one loss, of which two have 2 losses and one has 3 losses.

The Big 12 has 4 teams with at least one loss, of which one has 2 losses.

The Big East has 5 teams with a loss.
