Did anyone else notice on the play where CO avoided backcourt violation that player receiving tip back had a foot in backcourt?

I was wondering about that one...then none of the "experts" said anything, so...

I felt like at the end, Simpson didn’t know the score. That dude was in no hurry at all. Seemed kind of like he felt he was shooting to tie it up. Even if he’d have hit that shot, they were out of time. That ball hit the rim with about 0.9 left.
