Seeding the Tourney
« on: March 13, 2009, 08:01:59 AM »
At the end of the day, the seeds are a complete crapshoot.

Look at the likes of UCLA and Purdue.  Show me who they have beaten out of conference or on the road.

Yet each of them has been shown to be a 4/5 seed.  Yet, consensus seems to be that the Warriors are clinging to a #7.  The seeds (#3s-#8s) are a mirage.

Play good basketball and the Warriors will win.  If they play like they did in the last minute yesterday, we'll be going home before the weekend.

Go Warriors.

Crapshoot, yes.  But, worried about WVA, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Arizona State jumping us and we jumping Clemson.  So, as of today a loss of net three.

Considering Baylor isn't even going to get in unless they win their tourney, that would be quite a feat.

WVU, yes. OSU, probably. ASU, maybe.

Big 10 Tourney could be very impactful to our seed...teams like Purdue, Illinois and UW-Madison. They need to lose.

Agree with Baylor, but they are still in the mix.  Purdue (#24) and Illinois (#25) and UW, one of them are bound to advance, so lets make it a net 4 loss.  That should make us a 6 with a verge of 7 seed.

That works for me, and I think its reasonable.
