We need more big heads and spinner wheels.

When I was in school, the students were a much bigger part of the FT D.

The Old People that sat in those seats over break are lame.

We need players older brothers to walk on the court when the other team is shooting free throws. That'll help our free throw D

I thought it was his cousin, and didn't he go after Dom even though Burke was the one that hurt the guy?
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

Wojo's FT defense scheme of leaving the shooter wide open is the biggest problem. Maybe try a double team or 2-3 zone.

I'm sure he's referring to the incident where somebody at The Dunk came out of the stands with the idea of going at Joe Fulce.

That's what I was referencing as well, I just couldn't remember the players involved.

Honestly, my hope is this means that we are due for a big regression to the mean...maybe even starting tonight....in almost every single game, home, road, and neutral, the opposing team has shot a higher FT% against us than their season average and in a lot of cases it's by a wide margin. One explanation could be we foul a lot of perimeter players who are typically higher % FT shooters, but still that doesn't explain the difference alone. There has been a lot of just bad luck.

We need Scottie Pippen to stand behind FT shooters and tell them a version of "The Mailman doesn't deliver on Sundays." Just has to insert the current shooter's name and current day of the week.

Helped the Bulls win a title!

Oh, and that regression-to-mean thing would be nice, too.

Scottie used to hang out at Marquette games quite a few times my Freshman and Sophomore year, so it's certainly not out of the question.

Nah... we just need someone to channel USU's Wild Bill.  Hell, we stole their "I believe" chant, why not steal their FT distraction too?

Hopefully the new arena will have more of a closed-in feel next year.  Kinda hard to distract a FT shooter from 20 yards away.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Wow. Have we ever ranked dead last in any category before? Can't get there without significant deficiency (fouling good FT shooters too often) and whole lot of bad luck.

Probably because Matt does such a poor job hedging out top.  Too slow getting back to defend.

When you pressure the perimeter and don't defend the paint, you foul the other team's best shooters.  No surprise.  On the other hand, MU is good at defending the three.

Trading 3's for 2's as apparently #ftsnomatta.

Well, technically, playing defense during a free throw is illegal, so I look at being last in this category as being a compliment.
