Dashonte Riley at MU

Did anybody see him at the game?   Any stories, any gossip?
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Since I saw him play in Ann Arbor last night and we've been hit with about eight inches of snow, I can't imagine he made it to Milwaukee.

In a separate thread someone states that Riley was "at the end of the bench".

Anyone else confirm that?

Pretty sure I saw him there.  Not on the bench but in those seats that run perpendicular to the bench where the more recent former players usually sit if they come back for a game.

I was lookin for him and in that area I thought I saw Robert Jackson and another guy who looked a little older. However, I didn't have the greatest angle so he very well could have been in the corner area, and I trust muman and bma's eyesight better than mine.

Either way he picked a good game to be at. Especially coz it seemed the crowd really got behind the players at various points in the first half keeping it from getting too big of a margin. Hopefully he liked it, even with some knocks on his desire and how he's dropped, I don't think Buzz would recruit a guy that wont give it his all and I feel with his amount of talent he coud turn into a really good player for MU.

That's who I thought it was. RJax has been at quite a few games recently.

Given that Buzz played only 7 players, I do not think it would be a good game to impress Riley with. He would have to wonder if he get a chance to play.

Just the reverse would be true.  It would show him how much PT will be available next season.

Mark, why wasn't he there?

The Buzz era must suck for you as he seems to be recruiting players with height.  I mean tall guys sitting in front of you all the time must make the game harder to see.  ;)

Someone said he probably couldn't make it because he had a game last night and with the snow could have had a tough time getting a flight.
Also, I think this would have been a great game for him to see with only 7 players playing. They aren't playing because Buzz has a policy of only playin 7 guys, they are playing because there is too far of a drop off from the bench. Also, next year 4 of those 7 will be gone, one being on the front line. Also next year, we don't have the senior leadership to carry us through outside of Lazar, so we will have a lot of guys to go after a lot of available time. Plus, I think in the future we will see Buzz giving a lot of guys a lot of time. He seems to enjoy the versatility, so having a lot of guys on the bench that can do  a lot of things will give him faith in the bench and then he doesn't need to play his starters 40 minutes. Also, Riley could come in and be our most talented big man, and he does seem to have some skills to play a little bit more outside so him and Otule may be able to play together.

So does anyone know with certainty that he wasn't there on Saturday? If so was it just because of weather or was the fact that he was supposed to be taking a visit this past weekend a false report?
