Title: Butler for Crowder?
Post by: SaveOD238 on May 05, 2016, 06:38:23 PM
I read an article today suggesting that the Bulls send Jimmy to Boston for a top 3 pick and either Avery Bradley or Jae Crowder.  Anybody else think this has a chance of happening?  Would it make sense for Boston? Chicago?

More importantly, will I have to replace both of my jersey t-shirts?

There's a few threads already in the Superbar from a few weeks ago on this.

Just cut the team name off the front of each and switch them. Nobody will ever know.

Luke Walton has said he would trade first pick for one of 3 playets. Jimmy is one

I think Jimmy is enough better than Jae for this to make sense, and Boston does have a lot of draft picks to throw around.

But I'm not Danny Ainge - though we often are confused for each other based upon our ability to drive the length of the court to beat Notre Dame.

I don't know what Ainge thinks of Jae's upside. Nor do I know if Ainge regards Jimmy as kind of a whiner now that Jimmy has been speaking his mind so often.

I had heard that Boston was talking to Chicago about trading for JFB at the mid-season trade deadline but talks broke off when the Bulls insisted on including Jae in the deal.  I doubt if that's changed.

Would this be the first ever MU player on both sides of a deal in NBA history? Anyone who can definitively answer this is the Scoop trivia King

Hope for JFB's sake this doesn't happen.  Of course it's a sample of one, but he doesn't work well with his current "high ball usage" point guard and I could see the same problem in Boston, even though I rate Isaiah Thomas higher than Rose as an NBA PG, his usage rate is extraordinary.

As for Jae, I'd hate to see him on a losing team, which is what the bulls will be next year with our without him and/or JFB.

I hope thibs is pulling off something for JFB.  That would be fantastic.

Weak front offices with weak coaches (like the Bulls) might have problems with their best player speaking his mind but JFB would be fine playing for Ainge/Stevens (or Thibs, for that matter).

That's probably true. Good point.

The only reason this is a problem is because GarPax take it so personally when something negative is said about the team even though they're the one who effed it up and Hoiberg has no backbone and is softer than a kleenex.
