Dude comes from a big time program and his association with Luke Donald can't hurt either.

I spoke via email to the person I respect most in the athletic department today.  He gave a big thumbs up on the hire.

Good to hear the positive vibes on this guy.   If he turns out to be too good, not sure how long MU can keep a golf coach if the warm weather schools come a calling.

That's one problem I have with maintaining a golf program, the  huge disadvantage to compete nationally whereas in lacrosse or hockey we aren't inherently disadvantaged by climate.

Ok, so what's the skinny on Grogan? Doesn't pass the smell test.

Looks like a risky hire to me. Thought our golf program had reached the point where we could get a more established guy :D

I'll wait 5 years to judge anything good he does, however I'll jump over anything I find even a slight bit questionable regardless of the time frame   ;D
