VIDEO: The hug, the dance, the interview
« on: February 25, 2012, 01:45:39 PM »
Much like my vid of Buzz playing the drums on Crowder's head, this is not 100% perfect.

Over/Under at how many times I'll watch this 4 min video is currently at 17.  Place your bets.

What a night for our team, our coach, our program, and our university.

Your vid captures the whole joyful ending: Junior's rebound from Vlad the Impaler, Jae and Buzz embracing, yes the dance but more importantly the entire interview with Raftery. Vintage. One to pull out on a dreary day to make the world taste good.  ;D

Best part is Buzz high-fiving Larry Williams 3-4 times in absolute excitement.

Thanks, WFP.  Hadn't seen repeats of "the hug" before.

Best part for me was the hug. Obvious genuine affection between Jae and Buzz.

Senior day will be emotional.....hope we can finally get a W to put everybody in the right mood.

The hug almost brought a tear to my eye, but I too loved the emotional high fives with new AD Larry Williams.  Couldn't help but think how much Larry has to be enjoying this ride.  Talk about striking gold.

That hug was something special. It is clear how close these 2 are to each other and it is great to watch. Jae has been such a great contributor to this university not only as a player but also as a person. From the way he acts, to everything he says off the court. Also the journey he took to get here, I think that is a big reason why Buzz and him are so close.

Honestly, I might actually shed a tear on Senior night when he is introduced knowing that it will be his last game at the BC. One of my all time favorite players (young Marquette fan, only 24) but still cant see many players topping him over the past 30 years. As Buzz would say, I love everything that Jae is about both as a player and a person and it is going to really suck next year not having him.
