I was never a Bryson fan but became one this weekend. In a cookie cutter sport he stands out from the crowd - Schauffele, Cantlay, JT, Speith, Morikawa, etc., etc., etc. He looks different, hits it differently and approaches it differently. Lots of tour players hold that against him, I’m sure, but I think it’s refreshing. His temper seems under control and he was more fun for the galleries than the rest of the boring field combined. As long as he comports himself like he did this weekend I’ll root for him.

I am definitely more pro Bryson after this weekend. Was not cheering against him and enjoyed watching his style of play and personality. I agree completely with the top guys on tour being cookie cutter and pretty damn boring.

The less Bryson, the more likable he is.  Not having him be visible except 4 weeks a year is probably the right amount of Bryson for both himself and the public.
But probably still too much for Brooksie…

DeCharcuterie ( Muggys moniker for Bryson) is an Excellent golfer. I expect him to be in solid contention at all Majors for at least the next 5 years baring injury.

The game is all about Distance now which Bryson has, and he completes it with a strong short game.
