The concussions have come during football - I wonder if he would sit out football his senior year to preserve his basketball career.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Sounds like some "Mom" wisdom.

But I think his team was in the State football semi-finals (lost to Kimberly, Franklin?)...in any case will he consider his Football career "capped off and finished"...or does he think its a "near miss" and just "has to" come back to see if they can win it all. Howser Mom needs to play some "Defense".

This is where the Ellenson's did the right thing long term...I didn't like it that they sort-of "used" Marquette...but they got Henry into the Pro's to his advantage...He's got to make the best of it, but their "Offense" succeeded.

I was thinking he didn't look too good.    Perhaps it would be different if there weren't so many 5 stars on his team keeping him from dominating the ball.

There were positives and negatives. He was efficient. I believe 4/4 from the field for 8 points. Got his share of rebounds, though fouls as well. One thing I really liked was how he boxed out. He had no problem sealing his man and letting his teammates go for the ball. Kid was willing to defer. Had at least one block I saw. He looked like a project, but honestly, just starting on LaLu with their roster is a pretty strong statement. Three five-star players and Jordan Poole round out the starting 5.

Based on the little I saw tonight, he looks like a great redshirt candidate. Let him add muscle, learn behind Matt for two years, then have the chance to establish himself. Hope he gives us a serious look.

I concur on the red-shirting proposal.

Joey has had multiple concussions and he is currently sitting out with a MCL injury
I believe it is an ankle injury suffered in football.  He recently visited the Packer's physician Dr McKenzie

My thoughts also.  He looked slow, flat footed or something.  Those other kids like Jackson, Langford and Bryant(sp. kid with mohawk) are terrific.

Game #2 has Bagley, the number one recruit and my goodness........

That's why these types go to the blue bloods.  Just above the rest and fun to watch 17 year olds play like that.

Quote from article: ""It could be three more weeks, or six weeks or it could be a long time," said Hauser, who also dealt with a concussions and MCL sprain during the football season. "I've been hurt before, but nothing serious. Nothing that has held me out this long."

I concur on the red-shirting proposal.

Another skinny kid that is not exactly the type of athlete MU needs at this point.  Need men, not another boy.  Yes, due to all the transfers, he would be a good kid
to get and red-shirt, a perfect Badger type red-shirt, grow into his body. add 25 pounds.  Look like he has some issues with his knees, probably growing pains, but runs the floor pretty good.

Can you imagine playing a team like that,  might be able to beat more than a few college teams.  The kid going to Michigan was really good, a great shooter and Poole
is not bad either, going to Michigan.  I can see why Cain was a second thought.

Serious question...

Would you rather have Poole or Cain?  Cause I have a feeling that Michigan is going to regret spending so much time on the former that they lost the latter.

Poole is a 2G, plays a 2 guard for LaLu, Cain at a debatable 6'8" is a three for sure.  The other kid going to Michigan is a 3, he is like 6'8", really good player, do not
remember is name, but Jackson who is going to MSU and him were the 2 best on that team, Jackson is 6'10", one and done type player.  Cain will probably be more
of an impact player at MU, but Poole is good as well.  I would have liked both.

Hard to tell. Poole putting up lesser numbers at a basketball powerhouse. Cain putting up monster numbers at a no name high school. I would say Cain but I am more than a little biased.

I also wonder if not getting the local kid will be a blessing in disguise for both programs.

Okay, I freshened the date guys.  Lots has happened.  Would appreciate any genuine list update assistance.  Remember the rules.  'Real' recruits.  Anybody need to be eliminated?  Let's focus especially on this Spring and next Fall.  I suspect that baby Mac has already peed on his offer letter but he has plenty of time to reconsider.

You also can get concussions in basketball. Carlino missed four games with one.

I really think you should add Courtney Ramey. He's visited us already. That's more than Donnie Tillman, Matthew Hurt, or Jalen Suggs has done.

Will do.  Did some other tweaking based on recent stuff.  Feel free to modify/correct.

Poole plays on the Kentucky of HS basketball, absolutely loaded & ranked #1 Nationally. Poole led La Lumiere in scoring on ESPN2 the other night & matched up well with Romeo Langford, 5 star SG (Indy).

Cain is intriguing to say the least. His EYBL production & his HS stats (smaller school but still) are nothing but encouraging. Will be interested to see Cain in a few years + 25 pounds
