59 points allowed in the second half.
Not good.

Not good at all.  Frankly beyond belief.

Getting beat down the floor consistently for layups and dunks is effort and awareness. That’s not acceptable and should be correctable.

DePaul isn't a slouch team with Freeman Liberty.

They're a tremendous slouch with or without Freeman-Liberty.
This isn't simply matter of MU losing. They've been dismantled in every facet of the game, from execution to effort to coaching.

Yep, just 1 game.  Except they are 2-3 in the last 5 games the dregs of the BE.  And likely to be piss pounded by St Johns on Saturday (if the level of play continues)

Wojo-esque season ending in the making

Jesus...it's a different team..a different coach.  DePaul played really well..we didn't play well.  It happens.  It's one freaking game.

Last time I felt like this and posted like this was during the Creighton game AT HOME.  Scoop was in absolute meltdown.  Maybe I'll go bump that thread...and Scoopers can read the doom and gloom prognostications.

Jesus.  Embarrassing.  The team has had 1 bad conference loss prior to this game - Butler on the road.  DePaul isn't a slouch team with Freeman Liberty.

Do you watch the games? This team hasn’t looked good in over a month. We all want MU to win every game they play. But it’s ok to watch them play lately and admit it’s been trash for weeks.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Posted this on another board, but I really think the physicality of a BE season has worn on them. Especially since a bunch of them have never been through it.

Surprised to see you melting down.  We aren't going to get piss pounded Saturday.

Fair point, especially when fouls aren’t being called for said play.

Disappointed in some of the terrible passes Kolek tries, his fundamentals in passing in the air is something your taught not to do, question his basketball IQ right now, and that missed layup tops it off.

Do you want me to go re-post all your whining from November and December?  Saying how much the team sucked?

UCONN lost at Creighton tonight with Creighton's backup freshman PG playing.  It's a long season.  It's a tough league.  We laid an egg tonight.  Did Providence go fold their tent after we beat them by 40 at home?  Rick Pitino said every year you'd have one game that is just a clunker.  This was ours.  But, DePaul is not a slouch team.

They got out-everythinged by a team that’s 6-13 in the conference with very little to play for.

If they can’t handle the physicality of a BE season, they’re not BE players.

Elliott just can't be playing point guard and handling the ball.

.

Well said.  They had almost a full week to get ready for the Butler game and they’ve had several days off before this one tonight.  Why are young athletes “wearing down” in a 30 game season?  That’s just daft commentary!

You're really making this comparison?
UCONN lost by two to a Creighton team that recently went into Chicago and beat DePaul by 12.
And rather than the players rolling over when things got tough and the coaching staff being unable to come up with any answers, UConn stormed back and nearly won after being down by 16 points in that game.

Please inform KenPom, who has DePaul ranked 102nd, and Bart Torvik, who has them 107th, of how the Blue Demons are no slouch.

Nope.  Right now Creighton is 3rd.  They beat UCONN twice and have the tiebreaker.

Rookies struggle with that all the time in the NBA. Are they not NBA players?

A lot of guys on this roster are playing a lot of minutes at a higher level than they ever have. And on the whole they've acquitted themselves quite well. Just think they've hit the wall. Since the Nova game the defense and three point shooting have tanked.

A tournament team should not be losing to a team that is 6-13 in conference play. That is not an excusable loss. Im not sure what to think given how good they played in Jan.
