Gottlieb on ESPN

He has MU in, but has Dayton in in front of us and counts Xavier as a quality win for them but not for us.    He said that both need to finish strong.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I was surprised to see us so closely tied to a team that has the same record as us overall, worse in conference, and in a far inferior conference. He also mentioned that Dayton's win over Xavier was at home, but our non-mention was on a neutral court.

Then again, not really his fault. Im sure it was all fed to him through his earpiece.

I'd agree with that.  MU wins 2 out of 3 and they're in.  If they lose 2 out of 3, they don't make it, imo.

I think he was pointing out the most impressive quality win of each team....he had G'Town for us....I may be wrong....Is XU at home Dayton's best quality win of the year?

He also said our loss to DePaul was at home.  ?-(

Good thing his Bracketology degree is a few credits shy.  My opinion (which doesn't matter) is that we are automatic with 2 wins out of three.  With one win out of the next three, we need a quality win in the tourney.

and in a far inferior conference.

I agree, but the A10 has been getting a lot of love lately.  There is an article in SI this week about The Richmond Spiders and it says that six teams have RPI's in the top 51 including Dayton. That is better than both the SEC and Big 11.

Remember this is all subjective.

Wouldn't he be looking for "Not Boner" ?  A kind of bizarro world thing.

What's sad about this is Pomeroy's shows the A-10 as significantly inferior - not sure what the numbers mean..but it is clear the ACC, Big 12, Big East and Big Ten are seprated by very little..then large seperation when looking to A-10
:
1 Atlantic Coast Conference .9083
2 Big 12 Conference .8947
3 Big East Conference .8712
4 Big Ten Conference .8657
5 Southeastern Conference .8359
6 Pac 10 Conference .7899 23
7 Mountain West Conference .7219
8 Atlantic 10 Conference .7023
9 Conference USA .6767

We did not do our job this year against the ACC in the battle for conference supremacy.  I wonder if MU beating NC State and FLA St. would change things.
