Season to date MU's schedule is the 7th hardest in the country. This is slightly ahead of the hardest ever MU schedule in 2011 at 9.
Does conference matter? See the jump the schedule strength took in 2006 when MU left Conference USA for the Big East.

Our strength of schedule might be 4, if we lost as many games as Butler.

We have two games remaining with Butler and two with St Johns - so no doubt it will go down. But overall it will remain among our most difficult.

Our strength of schedule might be 4, if we lost as many games as Butler.
To your point, typically DePaul tops the conference only SoS because they have to play the toughest teams in the Big East but don't get two games against Depaul!
So by the end of the season. look for the worst teams in the BE SoS to move up a lot.
