Protect the paint.    And when we get a defensive rebound push it.   But be smart.

What was said?

Wojo has drawn up some outstanding offensive plays out of timeouts the last 2 games. Have had wide open looks in a number of possessions I can remember off the top of my head.

Ok ok, I’m the idiot who dared start this thread.  Many of these responses made me laugh.  Some of you sure enjoy the entitled clubhouse mentality of this site, like only certain people are worthy of having any insight.  But anyway, I have reflected and learned the following:

1. I didn’t know there was some rule that outlined what was/wasn’t allowed to be shown on TV.  OBVIOUSLY they aren’t going to show anything that would be advantageous to the other team.  But I did find it interesting to know that there are apparently strict guidelines.  So thank you.

2. In retrospect, I think my original complaint was coming from more of a place like what others said about him barking at our players like a caveman.  Something changed, maybe inspired by the ridicule from this thread, but now I more or less just laugh during his huddles/cuddles.

3. Some of you seem to have gotten entertainment out of this thread, so that’s cool.

In conclusion, I acknowledge that this was probably a dumb thing to bring up in the first place.  I will go read another 100 past Scoop threads as punishment, and so as to hopefully avoid ever bringing up another dead horse topic.

Wojo should learn from Ewing on his huddle talks....

Yep.  Nothing motivates a 19-year-old more than humiliating him on national TV.   :)

Apparently, "compete, compete, compete" gets results.

I thought he was over the barking and grunting until this game where he seemed too excited to speak in sentences.  Perhaps he should allow an assistant to translate his dogspeak in the huddles.

My wife laughed at that huddle, as did I. And yet when we got back into the game, she said, "Well, they competed."

It was silly coachspeak, of course, but I did like that after he said it generally, he looked each player in the eye and said, "You compete" ... "You compete" ... "You compete." For some reason, that meant a little more to me.

As my wife also noted, "It wasn't as if Jay Wright said something magical in his huddle."

Smart woman. But then she would be, given her choice of mates.

I was her second choice.

Wojo:   "Movement...we have to have ball (bowel) movement. Movement"

Mack:  "I don't care what you do but everyone needs to get on Howard".

Well, that was pretty much the paraphrase of the Cuddle Report.  Wojo was so worked up I actually thought he slurred ball so much that I rewound it.  Since this thread is about have fun, I thought others might also.

Thanks for the preach though.

No one enjoyed Wojo talking about chopping wood today?  C'mon...that was pretty funny.

So how were they yesterday? Was at the game. But did he say enough “Good stuff” during them or is this still a fireable offense?

I did hear that his quote before overtime was “this is amazing, you are going to win this game in overtime”.

That’s a confidence statement.

Watched the DVR. During one he says, “Sell out for your teammates.” And Sam jumps in and screams “Sell out man! Sell out!”
