Gotta think between her and Keiger that the team will start getting some legit looks to improve as opposed to being a stepping stone. Plus adding UConn to us and Depaul makes the conference slightly more legit to a competitor right?
I don't think adding UCONN has helped the conference that much. It's still basically a mid-major in Women's Basketball. And while this season may be a little different than others due to Covid, the bottom of the conference this season is pretty bad. Seton Hall and Villanova would be WNIT worthy in normal seasons (no idea if they're even hosting that this season) but truthfully the BE will be lucky to get 3 teams in the big dance. UCONN and MU are locks in my opinion and DePaul is highly likely to make it but may be close to the bubble at this point.
Purdue is a school that may or may not part ways with their coach - once again the Big Ten would be a major upgrade to the Big East in Women's Basketball in my opinion.
I'm admittedly cynical but I just feel like MU will always be a stepping stone for Women's Basketball. I feel like any good coaches won't be here long before moving onto a better conference. I'd love to be wrong and see Duffy stay a long time and do great things with this program
.
This video was awesome - I thought Duffy might hurt herself doing the chest bumps though
