Yeah.  Scrambling madly in first half, had a turnover - but who didn't.

The semester is over … so he is not transferring (at least not mid-season)

How badly?

He's back in.  Either a cramp or was kicked in the shin.

Back in and commits a foul in 5 seconds.

Chartouney makes some of the nicest plays followed by some of the worstplays you will witness multiple times a game.

Realistically. How far can we go with this ridiculous turnover rate?   20 vs. this squad of junk ballers?   Hoping Greg can come in and help that number.

Winning by 30, complaining about turnovers that really don't matter. Never change scoop.

We're not even going to hit 100. Turnovers cost us triple digits.

If we continue to play defense — we will have a decent season.  Makes up for a lot of sins on offense.

For this team, turnovers matter. They have the ability to be an achilles heel as we get into conference play. The whole point of these early season games is to improve on weaknesses, so the fact that we're still struggling to take care of the ball against a very clearly inferior opponent is worth noting.

Ed as well. If those two get it together consistently, this season is MAGIC.

Scoop needs to temper its collective expectations for Greg. He's coming off a surgery and hasn't played a single minute. His practice has likely been pretty limited. And he's just a sophomore who had a solid but not spectacular freshman year playing the 2/3 and very little PG.

I don't see any strong reason to believe he'll be able to pick up solid minutes right out of the gate. If it has taken Ed and Joe this long to find their roles on this year's team, think about how hard it could be for Greg to do the same. He's got to be considered the 3rd option at least until mid-February at point unless there has been a very big change in his game over the summer that has yet to be mentioned.

On the turnovers, obviously this was a bad turnover night. No reason to be giving the ball away 20 times in any game let alone one against North Dakota.

That being said, I do think there is some level of playing down to their opponent. Check out the numbers against high majors vs low majors

UMBC - 11
Bethune - 22
Presbyterian - 15
Charleston Southern - 19
UTEP - 15
North Dakota - 22
Avg: 17.3

Indiana - 14
Kansas - 13
Louisville - 9
Kansas State - 20
Wisconsin - 8
Avg: 12.8

You've got one outlier in each (UMBC & Kansas State) but our best TO games have come against high majors and our worst have come against low majors. I think its reasonable to believe that the team takes more risks against low major opponents when they know turnovers are unlikely to cost them. I think it's also reasonable to believe that they are trying new things and new rotations against low majors which may lead to more mistakes.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Makes sense. I wonder if minute allocation plays a role in this too.
