Blue’s confidence and maturity paying off

Written by: Mark Strotman

Vander Blue understood the scrutiny surrounding him after a disappointing freshman campaign. But just two games into his sophomore campaign, it’s apparent that Blue is out to turn doubters into believers. A highly-touted recruit of of high school, Blue averaged … Continue reading →

Looks like a lot of people showed up disguised as empty seats.

What are you talking about?  There were dozens of people at the Bradley Center last night.

.. Very very very light crowd.  One of the smallest I've seen for any cupcake .. the MNF Packer game  + 6pm start = maybe 5000 people.

Most of those were gone by the 4 minute mark at the end.  Student turnout really disappointing.

Really? How disappointed were you? Monday night game against a terrible opponent during the same time slot as the undefeated Packers take on a division opponent. If you actually had a feeling of disappointment over this then I question your sanity.

I was actually surprised the turnout wasn't much worse, particularly in the student section. Second game of the year against a weak opponent, early start time, Monday night, and the Packers were on national TV.

I have high hopes for this year's student section, and I'm usually the first to criticize it. The Mount St. Mary's game was the highest student turnout for the first MUBB game in nine years. I think students realize this team is a bit different from that of the years past.
