There’s a school with a gambling probe on the verge of making the tournament and a coach who got fired this week on the verge of making it.

God bless the best tournament in sports.

I would suggest that the Wild West of transfers and NIL have made it even better.

Also, from many accounts, Kevin Keatts was very much on the chopping block at NC State, 50/50 and at a more demanding program would have been toast…now they win 5 in 5 days and turn an end of season implosion into a tourney bid and he get an extension. Just wild

So a brand new athletic director fires Dan Monson on Monday and he ends up winning the Big West. Good for him.

Ah, the portal…

All five NC State starters are portal guys.  Two of three bench players are portal also, to include Jayden Taylor from Butler.

And they stunk this year. Got hot at the right time and won a bad ACC Tourney.

Got hot and unbelievably lucky in the semifinal.

They were all but beaten down by 6 in the last minute when Virginia kept them alive by fouling a 3 point shooter, missing free throws or their own, and declined to foul when NC State fielded a missed FT with 5 seconds left (even with a foul to give) allowing NC State to connect on a desperation banked in 3 to send the game to OT.

Some times it’s better to be lucky than good.

Isn't it always better to be lucky?   :D

Brown missed both FTs.  Yale wins at the buzzer.  Wow.  What a finish.  Madness, one might say

Confetti delay at the A-10 title game

Does that help or hurt the Marquette cause?
