Marquette drops out of top 10 in both polls

Marquette's top 10 standing in college basketball's rankings was short-lived.

After a loss last week to LSU on the same day they climbed to No. 10 in both polls, the Golden Eagles (11-1) dropped three spots to No. 13 in the ESPN coaches' poll and four sports to No. 14 in the Associated Press writers' poll.

They also were leap-frogged by in-state rival Wisconsin, whom Marquette beat earlier this month in Madison. The Badgers (11-2) are ranked No. 11 in both polls, up three in the coaches' poll and two in the writers' poll.

Syracuse, Ohio State, Kentucky and Louisville were the top four teams in both rankings.
