Women's Scrimmage?
« on: October 26, 2008, 07:38:01 PM »
Was anyone at Madness who watched the women's team scrimmage and could post some observations from that?

Thanks!

#23, sorry don't know her name, can shoot lights out.

In many ways, the women put on a better show than the men last night.

Agreed.  The women actually played very well.  Knocking down shots, lots of threes from what I remember.  Krystal Ellis and Angel Robinson looked good as well as most of the rest of the team.  Didn't play the hardest defense at times, but they seemed pretty good.

Unfortunately I was a little late so missed a majority of the women's portion.  One question I had was Kelly Lam?  Is she no longer with the team?  Not seeing her there last night and then she's no longer on the roster.  If my memory is correct then this should be her senior year?

Thanks for the responses.

Kelly Lam spent her freshman year at Oklahoma and then sat out one year after transferring to Marquette.  She decided to skip her senior season and will graduate in December.

#23 was Tatiyiana McMorris. She looked real good. I also thought #24 from Manchester looked really solid. We are going to be very deep this year and a force to be reckoned with in the Big East led by Krystal Ellis. NCAA Tournament here we come!

She played pretty good.  I didn't pay too much attention to her though because I wanted to see how the new players looked.  She didn't do anything to catch my attention with a WTF??!?!

Completely understand. I thought a WTF was necessary for something positive.
