It was great to see him at the BC again... if only for about 3 sec (on TV).  When players like this come back home, do the coaches usually have them speak to the players before the game?

He spoke to the student section before the game started.  He looked very nice - had on a great leather jacket and really cool jeans.

Vander Blue was in the house too and really got into the game... can't wait for his arrival next year.

For an undrafted rookie?   Don't be silly.  The crowd politely clapped and the band played him off the floor.

I don't know about before, but he headed into the tunnel with the team after the game.

When Wes was on the kiss cam, and planted a big smooch on the girl next to him .. it wasn't Vander, who is not a girl.

Please verify that you are female!  Good God.

The girl next to him is/was his girlfriend from Madison.  She was a soccer player at UWM.  Several knee injuries prevented her from playing a ton.

Didn't see Wes until the Kiss-cam (arrived late - had difficulty getting the troops out of the Brat Stop) but I spotted him right away.  Definitely great to see him at the game!

He went into the tunnel before the game and when the players ran out he greeted them.  One of the players basically jumped on him ( I want to say cube's or acker) and then the rest of the team as they ran onto the court bumped him.  I saw that from the opposite side of the court but it was cool.

Kiss Cam was awesome.  He grabbed his woman and planted a good one on her-he looked like he was having fun.

How many guys did they put on the Rookie team?  I have a hard time believing that there's 10 guys out there more deserving than Wes.

Vander Blue was 4 seats to my right, Row C behind the bench. I was tempted to get a shot, but didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. Wes was sitting in those seats at the base line adjacent to the bench.

I appreciate Wesley as much as anyone...but remove the Blue and Gold Glasses and put down the Blue and Gold Kool Ade.

The Guards on the Rookie Roster were:
Stephen Curry
Tyreke Evans
Jonny Flynn
James Harden
Brandon Jennings

Only guy that you could argue that Wesley should be there over is James Harden, based on statistics. But Harden was a top 3 pick, and has more name recognition.

Like I mentioned earlier, Wes would be in attendance since he was watching Memorial/Vander on Friday.  He's a class act and doesn't let his status get in the way of being a true gentleman.

Was there ever any relationship between the Matthews'and the Maymons?

I thought the same thing on Matthews and the Rookie Game whenever the rosters were announced. Did a touch of research, and I know he wasn't in the top 9 in the league in scoring among rookies, FWIW. Didn't have the time at the time to do any more research, but on the surface, him not making it looked like it wasn't a terrible injustice or anything.

I admittedly didn't do any research.  I do know that his numbers are up there and he has been integral to the Jazz's success.  It isn't all about stats and Wesley is the perfect example of that.  That team isn't even close to 32-18 without him.

So you haven't done any research...yet you "know" his numbers are up there. How many games have you watched to know his real impact on the team? Again, you haven't done any research, but you can claim that they wouldnt be close to 32-18 without him?

GOMU is right.  While he has done well he is not worthy of the top 10 rookies in the league.  Not even close.  Yet I love him to death.

I've been following his games very closely.....not just box scores.  He has been the difference in a number of games.  And I didn't do "research" because I've already  been seeing the top rookie lists all season.

It was great to see Wes at the game.  He for sure should have been in the rookie sophmore game.  Compare his numbers to james harden (a top 5 pick)  and they are not far off.  Its great to see another marquette player having success in the pros.  I think he can develop into a solid 15pts 4reb 4ast man in the NBA.
