Most Important Game After MU's Game
« on: March 11, 2023, 09:47:51 PM »
Texas routed Kansas

The Midwest region will be Des Moines, and the Regional finals will be in Kansas City.

Kansas was looking like the 1 seed in the Midwest and a defacto home game for the regional finals.

Hopefully, Texas routing them means they get the 1 seed in the west. Maybe Purdue gets the 1 seed in the Midwest, but they lost too.

After fighting through defacto home games for St. Johns and Uconn, we don't need yet another stadium of opposing fans to play in.

Hoping the 1 seed in the Midwest has a campus hundreds of miles from Kansas City.

(Incidentlly, with Purdue and Kansas losing, making MU the 1  seed and Kansas the 2 seed in the midwest still has the same problem.)

Just put Marquette in the East.  We already know how to cut down the nets in MSG.

Did Purdue’s double digit win count as a loss?

Do you realize that whatever region you are in has no bearing where you play your first two games?

Kansas can be in the West but still play in Des Moines.

Kansas probably will be in the KC region and play the first weekend in Des Moines.

But, as you suggest, the other pod in Des Moines does not necessarily, and probably won't, feed into the Midwest region.

I'm cheering for a 2 seed in the KC region with Kansas as our 1. Perfect underdog environment.

I will attend that Elite Eight game.
