If the season ended today, it would be highway robbery if he didn't get BE POY and first team AA.
He 100% was fouled, guy clearly got him on the arm. As difficult as officiating basketball is, that was a pretty bad miss for the ref who was standing just a few feet away. I mean come on ... Markus swished about 348 straight 3s from every angle with guys draped all over him ... and now he's short by 5 feet on one without getting fouled?
Saw on the tube last night somebody (can't remember who - maybe from CBS?) had Markus third on his national POY list, behind Zion and Murray State's Morant.Hard to believe national media would pick a guy from Murray State who is averaging fewer points than a guy from Marquette, but nonetheless it certainly means Markus is an AA at this point.
Wade had 10 TOs vs UAB in the 2003 C-USA quarterfinals.
Meh. Wilt had 100 once. Not impressed at all with 53.
The announcer immediately afterwards said "That's not a foul! Just an airball".That along with the non-explanation of the missed out of bounds call in OT had me losing my damn mind.
Morant leads the nation in assists at 9.9/game in addition to his 23.3 ppg. He won't win NPOY on a Murray State team that might not even win their conference (Belmont is also solid) but he's a heck of a player.
TAMUI do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
Markus but that shot will be imortallized in MUBB history
Yep. Is it a top 5? Butch to Jerome, Vander against Davidson, Doc against ND, Novak, and this (not necessarily in order)? Am I missing anything super big?Somebody should start a thread.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold. He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.
If you're going Vander against Davidson, you should add Vander against StJ. DJO against Cuse, Junior against UCONN could be there too. Team hadn't hit one all day before then. I believe that was also the game where the refs had the teams going the wrong way in OT.
One has to go for super saiyan over 9000 Markus Howard
