Title: Putting the Scoop in MUScoop

Let me just say that the news on Lazar is great!!  I'm not sure how all of you heard about it but I first heard from an email from one of the MU websites... not Scout, not Rivals, but MUScoop!!  Not trying to start any battles between sites and perhaps other sites posted the news first.  Point is, like many of you, I'm not in front of a computer all day but I am connected to my email and receiving breaking news like this so quick via email is awesome!

So to the MUScoop crew, GREAT WORK and THANKS!!

Whew...glad to help.  I hesitated sending the e-mail to all users because I didn't ever tell people I would be doing things like that.

However, it seems like big news that all fanatics would want to hear!  I've added a poll above, let me know what you thought about getting the e-mail (and future scoops).

For the record, if you want to individually opt out of these e-mails, there's an option under "profile" -> "Notifications and Email".  Just unselect "Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email." and click "Save Settings"

The E-mail was great!  That was the first I heard of the news. Never hesitate so send MU news and notes.  You guys are doing a great service for all of the fans.

I loved the email and had no problems with it.  As long as it is important info (like this) I am fine with it.

I was going through server logs tonight, and there were 22 members that did NOT get the alert.  This was a configuration error on my part - though not catastrophic, because about 60 people did get the alert.

Anyhow I *think* I've fixed the issue now, so hopefully we'll have another good scoop soon and everybody will get the news.
