Steve Novak story
« on: March 02, 2021, 08:57:31 AM »
Morning show on the radio talking about weird clauses in contracts.

Steve Novak is allergic to dog hair.   To the point that he missed time because of his love for dogs.   The Knicks had a clause in his contract fining him if he was caught in the presence of a dog.

So, has anybody here ever heard about this?    True/False?

Sounds crazy.

I'm allergic to dog fur, hair (hypoallergenic) and dog saliva.  I turn red and itchy, and can't breathe.

Unlike Novak, I dislike dogs.

sounds crazy but also realistic. Clauses are put in regarding many actions the team knows the player engages in that may lead to missed time (motorcycling, scuba diving, surfing, video games).

Indeed, learned a lot from driving basketball players from the Al to Open Pantry/7-11 in LIMOs

But is there a dog clause in your contract? Do you get a free day off if someone brings a dog to the office? A bonus?

Bring your dog to work day sucked.

But after 2020, I expect both bring your dog and bring your kid to work will be permanently finished...

My assistant brings her Great Dane pup into the office occasionally. He's 11 months old when standing on his hind legs is taller than Markus. He's pretty chill (most of the time) and since there are so few of us coming to the office I'm coo with it.

I thought this thread was going to be on that Vince Vaughn movie with all the kids with one being the Steve Novak look-a-like.

She tried bringing him to the dog park, but none of the other dogs liked playing with him.

Yeah.   My first job as a paper carrier.   Only once while on duty.

That's a horse.

She called him "the Tiny Horse" in IG. I'll still take him coming in over a yappy rat dog.

If a dog is smaller than a housecat, it's not a dog.
