No thread about JaJuan Johnson at Madness would be complete without including this tidbit from StillWarriors account of MM:

-JaJuan was there, so was his mom. Almost all of the moms of the current team were there hanging with JaJuan's mom. Buzz is good. Big push for a commitment this weekend.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Again, one must question your priorities.....

I've got Jujuan projected at 1.68 in Value Add for the 2013-14 season, which is a very strong bench player in his freshman year and projects as over 3% his sophomore season - meaning he should be a BCS starter as a sophomore.

Defininitely would be contending to be our top rated recruit depending on which service you look at and how he progresses in his final year.

Now the other Jujuan Johnson in the database had one of the best Value Add careers in the database - including his final season at Purdue during which he had an 8.58 Value Add to make him the 7th most valuable player in the country that year.

The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

On to the next recruit because he hasn't committed yet?  What?!?!?  It's been two days since Madness!

He's finished with his visits without committing to anyone.  That was his plan from the start.  I like the fact that Marquette entered the picture later than the other two finalists.  I plan to give the kid a couple of days to make up his mind and think good thoughts in the meantime.

Jajuan is committing on Wednesday.  Settle down, Chicken Littles.  So much pessimism on this board.

Everyone on the internet has the right to constantly freak out over baseless speculation, thank you very much.

Who's he committing to?

His girl. I hear he got her a really nice "engaged to be engaged" ring.

Where are you seeing that at? A guy on another board is claiming Johnson called Grant and committed this morning. He's right a lot of the time about what he says but I won't believe anything until Johnson publicly announces.

Posted on the Scout MU site by Bryant11:

Hey guys. I was the one that posted that over on the Alabama site. I got it from a site called tigerdroppings.com, which is a message board for all of the SEC. A guy that is pretty accurate with football info said that his 'source' told him that Johnson called Grant and committed. That doesn't mean it actually happened or that I believe it. I was just passing along the info I received. I do think he chooses either Alabama or Marquette.
