This tweet from Gary Parrish:

Every eligible Power 5 school with a top-54 RPI made the NCAA Tournament. But eight non-Power 5 schools with top-54 RPIs did not.

All 5 Big East teams that made it had RPI of 56 or better.

Not just RPI, but those schools left out had high other ratings as well.
